Royal Huisman Project 410 is an 85m sailing yacht approaching launch in the Netherlands, with a single-mast configuration designed around sailing, private onboard spaces and a direct relationship with the sea.

Royal Huisman Project 410: Designed Around Sailing

Presented at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, Royal Huisman Project 410 is now in the final stage of construction at the Dutch shipyard’s Vollenhove facility. At 85 metres (280ft), it is set to become the world’s largest sloop-rigged sailing yacht. In November 2026, the yacht is scheduled to move to Royal Huisman’s deepwater facility near Amsterdam for launch and completion.

The scale is significant, but the more interesting decision is the rig. Project 410 has a single mast, with its overall concept, exterior design and naval architecture developed by Frers Design. Wetzels Brown is responsible for the interiors, while Royal Huisman’s sister company Rondal is developing the carbon mast, boom and integrated sailing system.

The layout is built around sailing rather than treating the rig as an addition to a large motor-yacht platform. The principal living spaces are arranged on one level beneath a relatively compact deckhouse. Large hull windows bring the horizon into the interior, while the main salon connects aft to a veranda and beach-club area. Forward, the private owner’s suite sits apart from the principal guest circulation.

For an 85m yacht, that arrangement matters. The design keeps the scale of the vessel while maintaining a clear connection between interior spaces, deck areas and the water. It also reflects a particular proposition for large-yacht ownership: sailing performance remains central even when the yacht has the volume associated with a much larger cruising platform.

Project 410 is currently under construction. Its November transfer to the Amsterdam-area deepwater facility marks the next stage towards launch.
