Oyster Yachts has taken its bluewater sailing philosophy into a new 36-metre flagship, combining long-distance capability with the space and personalisation expected of a sailing superyacht.

Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show on 24 September 2026, the Oyster 36M is the British builder’s new flagship and its largest sailing yacht to date. Developed with Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering, the 36-metre monohull is designed around extended cruising rather than short passages between established yachting centres.

For an owner, the distinction is practical. The yacht has been engineered around substantial tank capacity, equipment storage and accessible technical systems, supporting longer periods away from marinas. Its 670-square-metre sail plan is paired with a Frers hull developed for offshore sailing, including a deep-V bow and broad stern.

The scale changes how sailing can work as a private way of travelling. Oyster is developing the yacht with three-, four- or five-cabin configurations, while the interior concept comes from Milan-based m2atelier. Owners can specify different layouts, materials, sail plans, keel and equipment configurations within the pre-engineered platform.

That approach places personalisation closer to the custom-superyacht model while retaining a defined engineering architecture.

Designed for Long-Distance Cruising

The Oyster 36M is still a sailing yacht first. Its appeal lies in making the passage itself part of the ownership proposition: open-air living, time under sail and the ability to carry equipment for diving, watersports and longer cruising.

The yacht has been unveiled, but no delivery date or sale price has been confirmed publicly. Specifications remain preliminary and may change as development progresses.
