Christopher Esber has become one of the defining names in contemporary Australian fashion, building a label where sensuality is expressed through precision rather than excess. For Resort 2027, Esber explores what he calls a more masculine side of femininity. A vintage hunting jacket belonging to his father became the starting point, reconstructed through French lace, herringbone taping and lighter fabrics. Utility trousers, tailored pieces, suede, transparency and sharply placed cut-outs create a dialogue between strength and sensuality. The collection also introduces hints of Esber’s forthcoming menswear direction.
The brand has no single global celebrity ambassador; instead, its cultural visibility has been shaped organically by a formidable circle of women. Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Solange Knowles, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kylie Jenner and Margot Robbie have all worn Christopher Esber. Zendaya’s early appearances in the label helped introduce Esber to a much wider audience, while Dua Lipa and Kendall Jenner became closely associated with his signature cut-out aesthetic.
Esber’s rise is ultimately a story of consistency. At a moment when fashion increasingly rewards recognisable codes, he has developed a visual language that is immediately identifiable without becoming repetitive.
