Riyadh Air will launch direct Milan–Riyadh flights on 16 December 2026, adding Italy to its European network and creating a new route into Saudi Arabia with onward connections across Asia.
Riyadh Air Milan services will begin on 16 December 2026, with four weekly flights between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Milan Malpensa (MXP). The route will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking Riyadh Air’s first destination in Italy.
Flights from Riyadh are scheduled to depart at 02:45 and arrive in Milan at 07:05. The return service leaves Milan at 09:55, arriving in Riyadh at 17:15. Flights operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, although Riyadh Air advises checking its website for schedule updates.
For travellers, the significance of the Riyadh Milan direct flight is less about adding another point-to-point option than about access through Riyadh. The airline currently lists onward connections from Milan via Riyadh to Bangkok, Islamabad, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur and Manila.
The 787-9 is configured with Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Business Elite and Business use fully flat 1-2-1 seating, while Premium Economy is configured 2-3-2. The aircraft also features Panasonic Astrova entertainment, Bluetooth audio and onboard connectivity.
For Milan-based travellers, the new service therefore adds a direct connection to Saudi Arabia and a potential alternative routing into Southeast Asia. Riyadh Air Milan tickets are already on sale ahead of the December launch.
