Mauro Colagreco Hosts Exclusive Seaside Dinner at La Spiaggetta dei Balzi Rossi

On 21 July, La Spiaggetta dei Balzi Rossi hosted one of the Italian Riviera’s most memorable gastronomic evenings of the season. Set directly on the shoreline, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and the clear waters of the Mediterranean, the exclusive dinner brought together Mauro Colagreco, the three-Michelin-starred chef behind Mirazur, and Executive Chef Alessandro Bini for a one-night culinary collaboration.
Guests gathered around long communal tables overlooking the sea to share a specially created tasting menu, presented personally by Chef Colagreco in an informal and convivial setting. The highlight of the evening was a traditional Bouillabaisse, slowly prepared over an open fire on the beach before being served by the chef himself from antique soup tureens. The finale continued the fire-cooking theme with a signature dessert finished over the flames.
As darkness fell, the glow of the fire, the star-filled sky and the softly illuminated sea created an intimate atmosphere that reflected the spirit of Mediterranean hospitality.
The evening also marked an important new chapter for La Spiaggetta dei Balzi Rossi. This year, Mauro Colagreco became the culinary partner of the property through a collaboration born from his long-standing friendship with owners Vera and Gualtiero, who have welcomed guests to the beach for more than three decades. Throughout the evening, Vera and Gualtiero personally greeted guests, adding a warm, family atmosphere to an event that celebrated exceptional cuisine, nature and the timeless lifestyle of the Italian Riviera.
