Explosion at Residential Building in Monaco

A significant new development has emerged, with multiple authoritative sources now reporting that Ukrainian businessman Vadym Iermolaiev was among those injured in the explosion, along with members of his family. While his identity had previously remained unconfirmed, international news agencies, including AFP, Reuters and AP, are now naming him in their reports. The Monegasque authorities have not yet issued a separate official statement confirming the identities of the victims.

The rest of the known details remain unchanged. The explosion occurred in the lobby of a residential building on Rue Révérend Père Louis Frolla, near the border with the French town of Beausoleil, rather than at a restaurant or hotel.

Investigators believe the blast was a deliberate attack involving an improvised explosive device concealed inside a backpack.

Three people were injured in the incident. Two adults remain in critical condition, while a 13-year-old child sustained less serious injuries.

No suspect has been arrested so far. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the authorities in Monaco and France.
