Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel reopened on 30 July 2026 after restoration, bringing one of Venice’s historic hotel complexes under Four Seasons management while retaining its palazzo architecture and Venetian character.

Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel has reopened on Venice’s Riva degli Schiavoni, marking a new operating chapter for a hotel whose history is tied to the city itself. The first guests arrived on 30 July 2026, following a restoration of Palazzo Dandolo and Palazzo Casa Nuova.

This is not a new-build Four Seasons. The hotel brings together three connected buildings: 15th-century Palazzo Dandolo, Palazzo Casa Nuova, formerly associated with the Treasury of the Venetian Republic, and the later Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. The latter remains part of the next phase of the project, with the accommodation inventory planned to reach 176 rooms and suites in 2027.

For the completed interiors, French designer Pierre-Yves Rochon worked across Palazzo Dandolo and Casa Nuova. The restoration uses Murano glass, Venetian terrazzo, Rubelli textiles, marble and a palette drawn from lagoon colours, while retaining features including the four-storey atrium and gilded staircase of Palazzo Dandolo.

The hotel currently has 120 accommodations, including 52 suites. Dining centres on Restaurant Terrazza Danieli, with indoor and outdoor seating above the lagoon, and Bar Dandolo in the Palazzo Dandolo lobby. Executive chef Adriano Rausa leads the culinary programme.

Danieli Spa is not yet open; Four Seasons currently schedules its launch for late 2026, with three treatment rooms, a sauna and hammam. The hotel’s Riva degli Schiavoni position also places guests within walking distance of Piazza San Marco and provides direct access to water taxis and vaporetti.

For travellers returning to Venice, the significance is less about a new hotel than a familiar address entering a new operating era without being rebuilt as a contemporary property.
