High-Altitude Fun: Saudia Airlines Innovates In-flight Entertainment System

The new in-flight entertainment system was unveiled during Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2022.

With over 5,000 hours of HD programming, including but not limited to Western and Eastern films and television series, as well as a library of E-books, weather updates, shopping, food ordering, flight information, and agenda chronology, the new IFE system will further revolutionize Saudia's onboard experience. All of on-demand movies, music, TV series, documentaries, games, live TV news, and other features will be available in more than 16 languages.

"Beyond" also boasts the most Islamic content in the sky, with visitors being advised of prayer times during the flight. A separate Kid Mode allows younger guests to watch their favorite cartoons, movies, and games.

The new system provides a wide variety of additional useful functions, such as the opportunity to monitor the condition of the aircraft while in route, as well as a real-time view of the sky during take-off and landing via cameras. Besides, passengers may shop and browse the latest items from the comfort of their seat.

Essam Akhonbay, AUDIA VP Marketing & Product Management, said: "We’ve never stopped improving our product. The new IFE will further transform SAUDIA’s onboard experience. The success of Saudia’s IFE investments and strategy is demonstrated by the loyalty and positive feedback from our guests across all cabin classes. We are delighted to showcase our new IFE with visitors at the ATM.”

According to the company's representatives, the new IFE System Beyond will be gradually integrated across all the fleet by the end of this year.
