World premiers and the most luxurious boats at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), one of the most anticipated events of the year, took place in the Principality of Monaco from September 27 to 30, 2023. For the 32nd time, the best companies of the industry from all around the world presented 117 superyachts and 3 catamarans, including 45 world premieres.

History of the show

The largest show in Europe was first held in 1991 by French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen. After the rights were sold to IIRB. The organizers focused on superyachts and they were right on target. The event began to attract the world's press and top yachting companies. In 2002, for example. the show attracted about 15,000 spectators, and by 2016 attendance had more than doubled.

Preparations for this large-scale event begin a year in advance. It is here that the leaders of the yachting business present their new products to the world, debating the future of the industry and seeking sustainable solutions.

Yacht Show 2023

Carinthia VII

The Carinthia VII from German shipbuilder Lürssen has become the largest superyacht at the show. The giant vessel takes 57th place in the world list of the most luxurious boats.

8 exclusive cabins, gym, cinema, hammam, sauna, 12-meter swimming pool and helipad. In 2022, the yacht was sold for a record 95,000,000 euros. Carinthia VII can now be rented for €1,400,000 per week.

Savannah

Superyacht Savannah (​​83.5m) is a true masterpiece, and her exceptional qualities were swiftly recognized through the acquisition of five prestigious yachting awards within the year following her launch.

Distinguished as the world's pioneering hybrid superyacht, she set a remarkable standard as the first all-metallic painted vessel of her kind. Notably, Savannah also marked the debut of yacht design for the accomplished team at CG Design, who introduced an innovative 'floating superstructure' concept and an array of exclusive features, including a 10-meter pool adorned with a glass mosaic floor designed by contemporary artist Cecily Brown.

Savannah's interior can comfortably accommodate twelve guests in six staterooms, ensuring a luxurious experience. Additionally, a dedicated crew of 24 members can live and operate seamlessly on board to provide impeccable service.
Khismet

Kismet (95.2m) showcases exterior design crafted by the renowned Espen Øino and boasts an impressive beam of 13.8 meters. The project was skillfully transferred to its new owner through the expertise of Moran Yacht & Ship, who also expertly oversaw the construction process. Inside, designed by the talented team at Reymond Langton Design, this superyacht is adorned with exquisite marble and rare wood finishes.

Kismet offers a generously proportioned main saloon featuring plush sofas, a well-appointed bar, and a state-of-the-art entertainment system. The superyacht also provides a formal dining room that can comfortably seat up to 18 guests.
Leona

Bilgin Yachts of Turkey has successfully launched the second vessel in the Bilgin 263 series. This remarkable 80-meter superyacht is a sister ship to Sevanna, formerly known as Tatiana, and has been christened "Leona." Her exterior and naval architecture are the masterwork of Unique Yacht Design, while the interiors have been thoughtfully designed by H2 Yacht Design.

With an impressive length of 80 meters, Leona spans four decks, offering luxurious features such as a swimming pool on the aft of the main deck, a helipad on the foredeck, and an abundance of seating areas both forward and aft across the decks. The superyacht is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, including a spacious owner's suite. For the dedicated crew, there is comfortable accommodation for 20 members.
Ice

Ice (​​90.1m) is a substantial private yacht, boasting an impressive length of 295 feet (90 meters). Originally launched in 2005 under the name "Air," this extraordinary vessel was meticulously constructed at the Lürssen shipyard in Bremen, Germany, according to the design by Tim Heywood. The yacht was initially in the possession of Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov from its christening until 2015, when Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue of Equatorial Guinea assumed ownership.

With a crew of 27, Ice is equipped with a cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion system, driven by eight 842 kW Deutz 16-cylinder generators that supply power to two ABB type 5 Azipod electric azimuth thrusters. This engineering marvel allows her to reach a top speed of 18 knots and provides a remarkable range of 6,000 nautical miles.

Ice offers an array of luxurious amenities, including a spacious swimming pool on the main deck's stern, complemented by a jacuzzi on the sun deck. Additionally, on the third deck, the yacht carries an AgustaWestland AW169 helicopter with the call sign P4-ICE, capable of accommodating up to ten passengers.
Admiral

The latest masterpiece from The Italian Sea Group, the Admiral 55-meter superyacht "S-Force," is a testament to seamless cooperation with the world-famous designer Giorgio Armani. A collaborative effort between Azure Yacht Design and archineers.berlin, Kenshō showcases distinctive attributes, expansive decks, and awe-inspiring vistas.

Its interior, meticulously crafted by Jouin Manku, boasts lofty ceilings, sweeping panoramic views, and adaptable layouts for ultimate comfort. Rich materials like teak, marble, and bronze converge to create a seamless, modern aesthetic.
Grey

On the MY GREY (49.99 mt), a remarkable addition to the iconic Tankoa S501 series, the Owner introduced a striking outdoor home cinema screen on the foredeck. This screen, renowned for its high-definition and radiant display, is strategically positioned in front of the poolside lounge. Throughout GREY, a focus on design and luxury is evident.

The Owner's meticulous attention extends to the layout of the exterior decks, where four open lounging and entertainment spaces beckon. With an emphasis on alfresco living, GREY features an expansive fly deck with a generous Jacuzzi, complemented by seating and relaxation zones, while the foredeck boasts a captivating pool and additional seating areas.
Tecnomar

Tecnomar, a distinguished brand, has successfully delivered 294 yachts to date, offering an impressive range of yachts spanning up to 50 meters. These yachts are known for their distinctive qualities, including their sporty character, dynamic design, and innovative engineering, all harmoniously combined with robust and dependable mechanics.

Orea

The highly anticipated debut of superyacht O’REA (77.74m) marks a significant moment at the show, introducing the latest creation from Greece's esteemed shipyard, Golden Yachts. Notable for its distinctive plumb bow, a hallmark feature unique to this shipyard, O’REA's design was masterminded by Studio Vafiadis in collaboration with the interior design experts at Studio Massari Design.

For arriving guests, the superyacht offers the convenience of helicopter access and a generous array of relaxation amenities, including an expansive swimming pool, a spa, sauna, massage room, and hammam. Accommodations on board consist of eight staterooms, providing luxurious lodging for up to sixteen guests, alongside additional cabins catering to the comfort of the 22 crew members.
Force blue

The expedition yacht Force Blue (70.6m), which recently underwent a comprehensive refit in 2022, showcases exceptional design and craftsmanship. Her exterior design is attributed to H2 Yacht Design, while the interiors have been meticulously curated by Michele Bonan. Guest areas offer generous lounging spaces, expansive deck areas, and impressive entertainment amenities, including a cinema and a sprawling bridge deck with a bar, BBQ, and dining space that can transform into a lively disco area.

Aboard Force Blue, she can comfortably host up to 12 guests in six capacious suites, featuring an exclusive owner's suite on a dedicated deck and a full-beam VIP suite on the lower deck. Multi-generational access is made effortless with the presence of an elevator that serves all guest decks. The foredeck accommodates three tenders measuring 8-9 meters (26.2-29.5 feet) and various water toys for adventure enthusiasts.

Furthermore, Force Blue provides an array of well-being facilities, including a spa, sauna, massage room, beauty salon, and a fully equipped gym on the lower deck. On the sun deck, guests can unwind in the jacuzzi, completing the luxury experience.
Baglietto T52

The Baglietto T52 presents a dynamic exterior profile, characterized by bold lines that gracefully span from her bow to stern. Designed by the renowned Francesco Paszkowski Design and skillfully constructed by the esteemed Italian shipyard Baglietto, this four-deck yacht introduces a thoughtfully designed layout that enhances the onboard experience.

For the interior, Francesco Paszkowski Design worked in collaboration with Margherita Casprini to create a captivating environment. The yacht boasts opulent materials throughout, featuring teak and stained oak flooring, as well as the use of limestone in her staircases and bathrooms, elevating the yacht's overall aesthetic.
