Mechanical Luxury or 10 Freshest Motor Releases

By Simon Gusev

The new year has started, meaning new luxury cars are destined to come out. And we can’t, even shouldn’t neglect new chances to boast roaring engines and attention-grabbing designs of our mechanical pets. However, with an absence of cars on spotlighted pedestals and red carpets at prestigious motor shows, we end up missing out on important releases. Sadly, only Monaco and Beijing shows were postponed until September, while others were canceled entirely. But don’t worry, iPremium rounded up the juiciest cars that are about to hit the market even before the set dates of the renowned motor shows.

Acura
The first car to hit our list is the upgraded version of mechanical beauty 2021 Acura TLX. A new Type S model produces cogent 355 horsepower that will take you fast & furious style up the highway. The new model will feature an all-automatic transmission and an improved sleek design – the jewel of Acura models.

BMW
German manufacturers not only try to keep up with recent car trends but think of the world’s ecology issues. The brand announced their first all-electric compact SUV, 2022 iX, that will allow you to travel 300 miles per charge. Both exterior and interior designs are simple, yet pleasantly futuristic. There will be plenty of modern technological features on display, including a large curved touchscreen instrument panel stocked with exclusive features and a hexagonal-shaped steering wheel. But, most importantly, it helps us save the planet.

Porsche
Recently, Porsche has replaced its luxurious sedan, 2020 Panamera's Turbo, with a more powerful and elegant 2021 Turbo S model. The successor has a few refined visual changes such as the sportier front end, an LED strip on the taillights, and some brand-new wheels. Besides, all 2021 Panameras will feature wireless Apple CarPlay capability and wireless phone charging for your convenience. Another model to pay attention to is the 2021 Porsche Taycan – a truly innovative electric vehicle. As the first production EV with an 800-volt architecture, it is an exceptional beast that sets new records in charging as well as acceleration. Besides its swift qualities, Taycan also has the stamina that allows for occasional high-speed runs without the loss of performance. Overall, the 2021 model drives like a premium Porsche sports car and exhilarates as few electric cars have done before.

Mercedes-AMG
Amid electric vehicles “mania,” Mercedes announced their intentions to make an AMG version of its upcoming EQ electric vehicles. This news comes on top of AMG’s commitment to plug-in hybrids. We don’t have full details other than the brand’s announcement that not every future EQ will get an AMG version. But what we know for sure is that these upcoming AMG upgrades will surely turn the electric game around.

Hummer
Surprisingly, even such a gas-guzzling giant as Hummer, discontinued in 2010, plans to make a comeback for 2022 as an all-electric brand. The first reimagined Hummer model will be a pickup truck and later an SUV. With up to 1000 horsepower and an estimated range of 350 miles per charge, the 2022 GMC Hummer EV promises to become both Beauty and the Beast. The design feels smooth and features removable roof panels, an optional adjustable air suspension, and an innovative four-wheel steering feature that will let you literally “crab” sideways.

Bentley
Rejoice, tweed lovers. As you know, the Bentley Continental GT convertible could already be ordered with a tweed fabric interior from New England, and the Equestrian Edition offered diamond-quilted tweed fabrics. Other models like Continental GT, Flying Spur sedan, and Bentayga SUV were out of the “tweed league”. But now, these vehicles can also get a Scottish tweed makeover available through Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke commissioning division.

Rolls-Royce
2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost marks a beginning of a new era for the brand’s opulent evolution. Although the new car might look similar on the outside with exterior styling a bit cleaner and less fussy, it is slightly bigger and much smarter than its predecessor. Besides, the new model is quiet, even silent. At 100 km/h it is as quiet as other cars would be at 50 km/h. This feature perfectly combines with the car’s road-reading stereo camera system that helps you avoid upcoming undulations, turning the 2021 version literally into a magic carpet.

Land Rover Range Rover
Farm tool turned luxury-lined limo for the stylish elite, Range Rover launched three special editions last year. The highlight among those was the Fifty Edition, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the glamorous SUV. But with an exciting turn of events, another model, the high-performance SV Autobiography, will receive its special edition for 2021 called the Dynamic Black Edition. Fingers crossed, the latest edition is destined to become an exceptional addition to the Range Rover family.

Audi
Audi is preparing to launch the Q4 E-Tron compact crossover that might overshadow other small luxury electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y and the Volvo XC40 Recharge in a price/quality ratio. Firstly, because of its timeless and elegant design. Secondly, because of its Olympic ambitions, smooth control, and powerful battery that will allow it to travel for up to 280 miles without a recharge.

Aston Martin
The 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is a beautiful, attention-grabbing, convertible beast. The new model hides the AMG engine, native to the Mercedes-AMG C63 S and the GLC63 S, under its aluminum clamshell hood and heavy chassis bracing. But most importantly, the new model’s very shape and design commands awe and awakens a kind of infantile love for fast and elegant cars. This new model makes you feel like a modern-day James Bond from that iconic 60s movie.
